HAMWORTHY were left wondering how they failed to put away any of their numerous chances.
Their two best chances fell in the first half, but a cleanthrough Cam Munn saw his shot hit the legs of Rovers’ keeper George Burton, before Tony Rolls’ header from a corner bounced down and then just over the crossbar.
The Hammers then had a big let-off when a rare lapse in defence by Rolls presented Dean Stamp with an open goal, but the Rovers’ man scooped his shot over the bar.
