JACK Carr popped up with the only goal on his debut as Liversedge edged out Nantwich.
Curtis Morrison was the Dabbers player most likely to make something happen for the home side, breaking down the left-hand side but he was unable to pick out an unmarked AJ Leitch-Smith in the middle.
Benjamin Atkinson and Zak Dearnley both tried their luck from distance for the visitors, but were kept out by Crewe loanee Tom Booth in the Nantwich goal.
