BISHOP’S STORTFORD’S charge for the title in the early stages of the campaign continued with a win at home to Carshalton Athletic, who finished the match with ten players.
After a fairly cagey opening to the match, the visitors had a great chance to take a shock lead, with Karl Akinwande dispossessing Harry Beadle, but his 18 yard effort ricocheted off the crossbar in the top right corner, and the rebound was headed wide by Kalvin Ekpiteta.
