BEACONSFIELD Town advanced to the second round of the Trophy for the first time in the club’s history.
In the process they handed high-flying Truro City only their second defeat of the season, and they were good value for it.
By the time Kyle Reid’s fierce volley crashed in off the underside of the bar in the
22nd minute, City keeper James Hamon had already made two excellent saves to deny Sam Granville and Nathan Minhas.
