■ WORKINGTON’S win at Glossop proved a big turnround on the previous week for both clubs.
Glossop had won at playoff contenders 1874 Northwich while Workington fell to a 4-1 defeat at the hands of Macclesfield.
After 25 minutes and against the run of play Workington put themselves a goal in front thanks to a Bobby Carroll header
The Hillmen were on top again at the start of the second period but again it was the visitors who got the goal from a David Symington free-kick that flew into the the top corner.
