ASSISTANT manager Stuart How said Tividale had been “proud” to walk off the field in solidarity with a teammate who was allegedly racially abused. Last Saturday’s Midland Football League Premier Division clash between Whitchurch Alport and Tivi was called to a halt at half-time with Alport leading 3-0.
Both clubs have released statements confirming that one of the assistant referees overheard a racist remark targeted towards a Tividale player.
