SUNDERLAND goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has joined Blue Square Bet Premier side Alfreton Town on loan for a month.
The Black Cats youngster arrives at the Impact Arena as cover for first-choice stopper Phil Barnes, who was injured in the Reds’ 3-1 defeat at home to Kidderminster Harriers.
Pickford, 18, has previously spent time on loan with Non-League side Darlington and was part of the England side at the Under-17 World Cup in Mexico in 2011.
He will remain with the Reds until March 26 and is expected to be between the sticks for them when they take on Hyde on Tuesday evening.
