FORMER Bristol Rovers, Cardiff City, Wrexham and Brentford defender Phil Bater has quit as manager of Hellenic Premier side Mangotsfield United after just 19 days and three games in the job.
Bater’s departure followed last Saturday’s 5-2 home league defeat by Worcester Raiders and a 4-0 FA Vase exit at Clevedon Town.
Bater, 67, who represented Wales at Under 21 level, was appointed after Mangotsfield parted company with John Allen on October 30 after four months in charge.
