KIDDERMINSTER Harriers failed to break down ten-man Alfreton as their poor recent run was stretched to just one win in seven.
In a game lacking in quality, the breakthrough was always going to be a moment of class or an error. In truth the opener was both as a defensive mix-up was seized upon by Kiddy substitute Jack Bearne who lobbed beautifully into the bottom corner.
Bearne had only been on the pitch 15 minutes having replaced Ethan Freemantle, who had suspected concussion following an aerial battle with George Cantrill.
