STEFAN BROCCOLI’S goal was enough to help Spalding United squeeze past Sutton Coldfield Town.
It was an opening 45 minutes where chances were at a premium. The best chance for the hosts came after 18 minutes when Dylan Edge hit a fierce effort which was well saved by Sutton Coldfield’s goalkeeper Johnathon Brown.
The goal finally arrived after 40 minutes when some neat build-up play from the Tulips saw top scorer Elliot Sandy set up Broccoli whose calm shot found the back of the net.
