TRING Athletic and Walsall Wood were left frustrated after their hard-fought tie had to be abandoned late on due to floodlight failure.
The lights went out on 78 minutes and with the game having been abandoned following the lights going off for a second time, it was ironic that the floodlights duly came back on again.
Walsall Wood arguably had the upper hand early on. They put plenty of pressure on Tring’s goal through a series of corners, but it took until the 36th minute for them to take the lead.
