IT will be interesting to see how those clubs who have opted for early kick-off fare financially. Balancing the cost of floodlights against possible reduced attendances.
I attended a 12.30pm start which was poorly attended. I also visited a club in the same division with a 3pm start which had a good crowd and floodlights were not needed until 3.30pm.
My memory goes back to the late 1940s, I do not recall starts earlier than 1.30pm although half-time breaks were only five minutes back then.
