WEST Didsbury & Chorlton stayed cool in a penalty shoot-out to make the last eight of the Vase.
It was Coventry Sphinx who made the breakthrough in the 15th minute, Matty Shipman converting a low cross from the right.
The tempo remained quick in the second half with West Didsbury keeper Andrew Jones called upon to produce a fine save.
The men from Manchester drew level in the 65th minute when Tom Westall lashed home.
In the shoot-out, Matty Cook fired in off the post and Jones saved Sphinx...
