MARK BOWER’S men bounced back from a poor result at Gloucester to move four points clear of the bottom four, while Leamington plunged into the drop zone as their run without a league win stretched to 14 games.
A bright start from the visitors was forgotten as Avenue led on 25 minutes courtesy of Will Longbottom’s low strike past debutant Ted Cann.
A killer second was added by Brad Dockerty in first-half injury time as he ran through to fire into the corner, with Leamington aggrieved that there was no offside flag.
