CLITHEROE emerged worthy winners but were pushed all the way by Widnes.
Clitheroe took the lead after two minutes when Cameron Lancaster stabbed the ball home before Ross Dent extended the lead.
Widnes instantly pulled a goal back before their midfielder Laurence Smith was sent off for an off-theball incident. Numbers were evened up early in the second half when Ross Dent received his second yellow card.
Clitheroe were then awarded a penalty for handball, which was scored on the rebound by Reece Webb-Foster. Sefton Gonzales then made it 4-1 before Widnes ...
