THE NEW SAINTS have lost at last! The JD Cymru Premier champions had gone through Phase 1 of this season’s competition unbeaten, but hit a bump in the road in the Championship Conference.
From two goals down, Cardiff Met hit back to complete a remarkable 3-2 victory against a side that had beaten them 4-0 the last time they met and 7-0 in September.
It was a great day for Met skipper Chris Baker on the one hand, as he scored twice. Then he went off on a stretcher with four minutes left.
