HERTFORD Town edged closer to safety and at the same time dented Cirencester’s play-off hopes with a gritty, backs-to-the-wall win courtesy of an early goal from Isaac Pedro.
The Blues skipper managed to get on the end of a one-two with veteran striker Omer Riza to open the scoring only six minutes into the contest.
The Centurions dominated possession in the first half, with the lively Joe Sheperd going close three times.
However, Luke Mewitt was in fine form in the home goal and managed to keep them at bay.
