WHITBY TOWN secured their league status with a dominant victor over mercurial Atherton Collieries.
Colls Club legend Gareth Peet was the man of the moment before the match, celebrating an incredible 400th appearance, but he ended it on the wrong end of a hiding.
The sides were evenly matched in the first half. Colls enjoyed the lion’s share of possession -Jay Fitzmartin and Marcus Cusani were their two bright sparks - but were wasteful in the final third.
