CANVEY Island remain just about in the title race after making it seven successive victories.
The visitors made a good start and opened the scoring in the ninth minute when the ball was played up to Evans Kouassi on the left-hand side, whose cross was converted by Luca Albon. It was 2-0 in the 17th minute when Invicta gave the ball away, and Jamie Salmon threaded through to Kouassi who thumped into the roof of the net.
