SUFFERING excruciating pain and with both heavily bandaged arms hoisted up in slings, Jack Turner sat up in his hospital bed wondering whether he’d even brush his teeth properly again, let alone palm away 100mph leather footballs whistling towards him!
Turner, a heating and gas engineer by trade, thought his world had fallen apart after horrific accident at work led to him being scalded by 80C water, severely burning both of his hands and forearms.
