IT WAS raining goals in a wet North-East as Workington scored three times in each half to romp to victory over Northern League hosts Whitley Bay.
NPL newcomers Workington took the lead on the half hour when Connor Tinnion beat Dan Lister in the home goal.
It was the start of four goals in 14 minutes with Bobby Carroll finishing low off the post from 15 yards.
New signing Lewis Suddick halved the deficit when he converted Noah Millington’s ball at the back post.
