The Robins announced that the Northern Ireland international striker would leave the New Manor Ground by mutual consent after Friday night’s pre-season friendly visit of Derby County.
Ward, 37, took over the reins of the Robins last September and guided them to seventh place in Southern Premier Central last term.
Owner and chairman, Andrew Nally said: “It’s a sad day to see Jamie go, but football moves quickly and it was the right decision for all parties.
“I have a huge amount of respect for Jamie as a person and a coach and I wish him the best of luck in his future footballing ventures.”
