SOUTHEND UNITED have got the green light from the National League to start the season – but warned they will be deducted ten points if they don’t pay their tax bill.
The Shrimpers have been granted the licence required to compete by the league having paid their football creditors after a judge approved payments for £300,000.
It means they can kickoff the campaign on Saturday when they are set to host Oldham Athletic.
