BRIDGWATER United kicked off the new season in style by demolishing Millbrook 8-1 on their own patch.
Jack Thorne bagged a hattrick with Adam Wright at the double in a match that the visitors also hit the woodwork twice in.
There were goals at Clevedon Town too, although they all came in the second half as the hosts saw through a 3-2 victory over Buckland Athletic. Freddie King notched on the rebound 10 minutes into the second half and soon snapped up a second having cut in from the left.
