CONSETT extended their unbeaten run to five games with a commanding second-half performance.
The first half was tepid, with few clear-cut chances for either side. The second half was a different matter. Consett took the lead after 52 minutes when Jack Gibbons released Wil Shaw, who buried a shot in the top corner. Five minutes later it was all square as Sheffield centre-back Alfie Smith thumped home a header.
Consett regained their lead almost immediately through Zak Atkinson.
