A DANNY EARL brace condemned Carlton Town to their first league defeat of the season.
In a cagey first half the home side could count themselves unlucky not to score as they were much the more attack minded side.
Alex Howes had the best chance of the half after a lovely passing move down the right, but his shot was straight at Tom Jackson.
Carlton opened the scoring after Jackson spilled a goal-bound Greg Tempest free-kick. But North Ferriby hit back when Earl headed home from six yards.
