■ ASCOT United marked their FA Trophy debut with a determined win at Horndean.
The Yellas wasted no time in making their intentions clear, Brendan Matthew opening the scoring four minutes in, capitalising on a Sean McCormack cross.
Just eight minutes later, Ascot made it two when McCormack played in Sam Balogun and his deflected effort evaded the keeper.
Five minutes later, McCormack crossed for Matthew to snatch a third. tapped home easily. Just before the break, Horndean pulled one back through Zack Willett
