AFTER last season’s heroics that saw them reach the second round proper, Chippenham tamely bowed out to lower-league Hungerford Town.
The Berkshire side thoroughly deserved their win as Chippenham were dealt a blow in the warm-up as they lost captain Matt McClure. Their luck did not improve during the match as normally reliable keeper Will Henry made two mistakes that both allowed a Hungerford player to put the ball into an empty net, while a defensive error handed the Crusaders a further goal.
