HITCHIN eased their way into the next round but it took over 20 minutes before they were able to penetrate the fragile-looking Sudbury defence, when Bradley Bell opened the scoring from close range in a crowded penalty box.
Not devoid of ideas, the visitors got forward when they could, with Hitchin defending competently and counter-attacking, utilising the pace of Idiakhoa and Wilkinson, with Bell providing a number of opportunities with inviting crosses.
