DIAMONDS earned their first points of the season with this thrilling win over Coleshill Town.
Despite nine-straight league defeats and losing much-liked manager Chris Nunn during the week, Rushden started brightly.
Dylan Edge gave them the perfect opening with a superb fifth-minute strike and Will Jones turned home Pharrell Anderson’s 39thminute pass for a deserved second.
Coleshill were better in the second half and earned a harsh 55th-minute penalty for handball which Ryan Nesbitt tucked home.
