BEDFORD kept up their momentum with a win at Thame United, but the home side made sure the Eagles had to fight for their table-topping status.
The visitors took an early lead when Alex Collard headed past Archie Davis after five minutes, following a move that ended with a back header from Lynton Goss into the path of the captain.
Bedford then went 2-0 ahead as Dominic Morgan-Griffiths and Adam Watkins combined to release Ryan Blake into the area to slot past Davis.
