GAINSBOROUGH TRINITY secured their first away win of the season to spoil Dan Wordsworth’s farewell to Workington.
The 33-year-old had announced in midweek he would be retiring after this game following over 330 appearances in 12 years at the club.
It had looked promising enough early on when Workington took the lead after 33 minutes.
Scott Allison picked the ball up in midfield, fed Kofi Moore out wide and his low cross was slid home from eight yards by Steven Rigg.
