■LEADERS Congleton Town took full advantage of being involved in the day’s only Premier Division fixture but were made to work for it.
The Bears won 3-1 at home to AFC Wulfrunians in a keenly-contested battle, getting things started through Darren Chadwick’s fourth-minute header after the ball had been nodded back into the danger zone by player-boss Richard Duffy.
Ben Worthington, recently recruited from Bewdley Town, levelled just past the half-hour mark for Wulfs, dashing onto Dan Munday’s flick-on before slotting home in the 33rd minute.
