MARINE boss Neil Young wants the 42-day window to rearrange fixtures looked at for clubs who have to postpone games because they’re on a good cup run.
The NPL Premier Mariners took on Harrogate Town in the FA Cup first round proper yesterday – their seventh game in this year’s competition having entered in the first round qualifying stage and accounting for replays with Guiseley and Spennymoor Town.
The knock-on is rescheduling the league fixtures to midweek and, under standardised rules across the Pyramid, that has to be within 42 days of the original game.
