BOWERS & Pitsea claimed the bragging rights as they defeated local rivals Basildon United.
Bowers started strongly in a fixture dubbed ‘El Basico’ and saw Manny Oluwasemo fire wide, before Samir Ali shot the visitors best chance across the face of goal.
Bowers took the lead in the 29th minute, Matthew Price scoring his first goal for the club by curling a beautiful effort into the top corner.
