CAMBRIDGE UNITED have signed Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Nick Pope to compete for the number one jersey with Craig Ross.
Pope is formerly of Ryman League club Bury Town and has been a regular for the Addicks’ Under-21 side this term.
He joins the U’s on loan for a month and will be available to feature in seven games during that period.
The 20-year-old will be able to continue playing for Charlton’s Under-21 team during his spell at the Abbey.
Pope will be hoping to get the nod for Cambridge’s Blue Square Bet Premier fixture at home to Woking on Saturday, a game you read all about in Sunday’s edition of The Non-League Paper.
