PEGASUS Juniors FC comprises 23 teams at mens, ladies, boys and girls levels together with two Sunday morning clubs for the Under 8’s.
They were for med from a successful county youth team and the name was obtained from the highly successful Pegasus University team of the 1950s, which comprised both Oxford and Cambridge students who won The FA Amateur Cup.
HIGH HOPES: Martin Foyle at Pegasus Juniors
Juniors was added to the name at the request of the original Pegasus club. They are an FA Charter Standard Community Club providing football for over 320 players.
The club facilities include a floodlit main pitch, a junior and mini pitch with changing rooms and a small clubhouse.
The £50,000 grant they’ve already received will help the Redmen improve their catering and dining facilities, in an expansion which will enable the club to provide for each of their 23 teams.
Another £100,000 will seriously help their ambition to lay a 3G pitch. Senior figures at Pegasus believe this would continue to support the development of football within the club and Herefordshire.
