■THE first half was a tightly contested affair with Thatcham threatening through Sam Tanner, but failing to work the keeper.
The hosts improved after the break and broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute when Curtis Angel hit a powerful shot on the turn that clipped the inside of a post on its way in.
Thatcham doubled their lead after 61 minutes when Mo Ceesay smashed in from close range.
The icing on the cake came in added time when the Chipstead keeper came out to meet a long ball but could only head the ball into the path of David Nyarko...
