ST ALBANS CITY moved within three points of the top seven with a comfortable victory over Farnborough at Clarence Park.
Boro, looking to respond to a defeat against Havant & Waterlooville on New Year’s Day, could have opened the scoring when Jack Ball met a cross and sent his header straight at Josh Mc-Namara.
Midway through the half, Farnborough goalkeeper Jack Turner made a save at almost point blank range from Mitchell Weiss after the ball had fallen to the striker him from a Gio Rasulo corner.
