TEN-MAN Weston-super-Mare scored an injury time equaliser to take an absorbing tie to a penalty shoot-out at depleted Gateshead – only to fluff their lines from 12 yards.
Ravaged by injuries and departures, a makeshift Heed found themselves behind after just two minutes as Seagulls captain Dayle Grubb curled a beauty in to the far corner.
Lloyd Humphries’ long-range chip then drifted just wide with Heed keeper Harrison Bond saving well from Jamie Soule’s low drive.
