JJ HOOPER came back to haunt his former club as Blyth Spartans extended their unbeaten run to move within just two points shy from the play-offs.
Spartans striker Hooper now has eight goals this season and has scored more goals in two games against Gloucester City this season than he managed for the Tigers all last term.
It was a promising start for the hosts though, with Ben Beresford’s header sailing just over the bar before Spencer Hamilton tried his luck from range.
