MANAGERLESS Banbury defeated high-flying Scarborough to lift the gloom that had descended over the Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium.
Interim boss Craig McKay, in the hotseat following the midweek departure of Mark Jones, sent his team out on the front foot and United almost took the lead in the tenth minute with Lawson D’Ath hit the bar from 25 yards.
United were certainly the team in the ascendancy and took the lead after 27 minutes when Aiden Elliott-Wheeler’s low cross was swept home by D’Ath.
