TOM Cursons’ double for Ilkeston Town helped them secure a season-best fourth straight league win to boost their play-off hopes against a struggling Stafford Rangers side.
Visiting goalkeeper Matt Yates denied Connor Heath, while the impressive Declan Eratt-Thompson tested Cameron Belford before Ilkeston’s Luke Cox headed wide from close.
The Rangers rallied early after the restart, as Ethan Stewart’s curling effort sailed over the bar before Yates was forced into a full-stretch stop to thwart Heath again.
