KALVIN’S AT THE DOUBLE TO SHATTER GATE HOPES

LEWES claimed the three points against struggling Margate in a game that ended closer than it seemed it would with 30 minutes to go.
After a very open ten minutes, the Rooks took the lead with a strike from Kalvin Lumbombo-Kalala after he drifted in from the left hand side and shot from the edge of the penalty area.
In the 29th minute a slick passing move saw the ball fall to Tommy Wood and, as he turned, he was tripped. The referee immediately pointing to the spot with little protest. Wood stepped up and smashed the penalty in to make it 2-0.
