Nervy, needed win for Colls

ATHERTON Collieries were again engrossed in a second consecutive seven-goal thriller, but this time held their nerve to snatch a vital three points at home against Morpeth Town - closing the gap on escaping the drop zone.
Enock Lusiama, Lewis Thompson, Jordan Scanlon and Lewis Mansell all struck for the Colls, whilst Nic Bollado, Sam Hodgson and Fenton John did their best to secure an unlikely comeback for the visitors.
The hosts were in the ascendancy for much of the first-half, with Lewis Mansell twice going close from early corners.
