Biggleswade Town travel to Yarnton Road for Saturday’s match against Kidlington looking to bounce back from defeat last time out in the Southern League Division One Central.
Biggleswade, who sit third in the league after 23 games, fell to a 1-0 home defeat to AFC Kempston Rovers on Tuesday.
They face a Kidlington side who also lost their last match, a 2-0 defeat to AFC Dunstable, and who sit 16th in the table.
With 26 goals in 23 games so far this season, Kidlington are the league’s second-lowest scorers with 1.1 goals per game. And they are conceding at an average rate, letting in 38 goals at a rate of 1.7 per game.
Biggleswade, meanwhile, are above average scorers, with 2.0 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.7. They have conceded 1.3 goals per game.
The hosts are in disappointing form in the Southern League Division One Central, with one win and two draws from their last six games.
With three wins and two draws over that period, Town’s form is much better – they have taken 11 points from 18, compared to Kidlington’s five.
In the last three years, Kidlington and Biggleswade have played each other on three occasions. Biggleswade won two of them and they drew once.
Their last meeting was on October 21, when Biggleswade won 3-1 at home.
