ASHFORD United won this encounter in a match that epitomised the old cliche of a “game of two halves”.
Horndean were the first to show when a fierce attempt from Freddie Chester was well saved by Ashford’s keeper. At the other end, Harvey Brand fired just over the crossbar following good work by Bradley Ryan.
