A SUNNY afternoon after a week of rain led to a game which promised goals, but ultimately ended level and goalless. The two former Western League clubs battled to a draw despite numerous chances and Ben Brooks rattling a post on a couple of occasions.
Melksham were slick in the first half and could have taken the lead when Henry Sady whipped a ball in for the onrushing Brooks to agonisingly snap the ball onto a post. Wil-land offered a threat through Owen Howe and Carillo, with both looking dangerous in spells.
