AFC Dunstable face a challenge to maintain their high-scoring form at home against a tight Biggleswade defence on Saturday.
With 57 goals in 27 games, Dunstable are the top scorers in the Southern League Division One Central ahead of the 3pm kick-off.
They face a Biggleswade side who have scored 38 in 23 matches, but conceded only 35 goals, putting them fourth among the league’s tightest defences – only Bedford Town, Biggleswade Town and Cirencester Town have conceded fewer goals.
Dunstable are third in the table after 27 games, of which they have won 14 and drawn three, earning 45 points.
Biggleswade are nine places behind the hosts in 12th, with nine wins and five draws putting them on 32 points.
In the last 10 years, Dunstable and Biggleswade have played each other on eight occasions. They won four each.
On average, Dunstable scored 1.6 goals and Biggleswade 1.9 in those matches.
Their last meeting was on October 14, when Dunstable won 3-2 away.
Dunstable are in reasonable form in the Southern League Division One Central, with three wins and two draws from their last six games.
With a win and three draws over that period, the away team’s form is worse – they have taken six points from 18, compared to Dunstable’s 11.
Dunstable’s last match was on February 24, a 6-2 win against Waltham Abbey.
Biggleswade drew 0-0 with Welwyn Garden City last time out, on Wednesday.
