THE sun shone in Surrey at long last, but it failed to light up a poor contest won by the visitors with a goal in each half.
They opened the scoring after 17 minutes when a defensive slip allowed the ball to be squared to Lucias Vine who had the simple task of tapping it home. The rest of the first half was littered with mistakes and half-time came as a relief.
